I developed my love of languages as a young child when my family moved to Spain and I learnt to speak both Spanish and Mallorcan. On my return to Ireland, I continued studying Spanish and later earned a degree in Hispanic Studies at Glasgow University. I began learning both Portuguese and Catalan as part of my degree course and later moved to Lisbon to further study the language. A year spent working in Northern Spain led me to discover Galician.
I am passionate about the power of communication and take my responsibility as a translator very seriously.
My professional background as a linguist is very much informed by my previous experience in education, specifically policy development in the fields of pedagogy, literacy and sustainability.
I combine my translation expertise with academic research skills and my professional experience in the field to provide high-quality translations that are accurate, trust-worthy and timely.
Although my translation service is based in Scotland I work with clients and agencies all over the world.
